The History Museum on the Square is housed in a Richardson Romanesque building that served as Quincy’s first library from its completion in 1888 until 1974. The museum houses 5 permanent collections: Early Quincy, the Stained Glass Gallery, The Edward Everett Gallery, Window onto the Square interactive display, and the City of Mormon Refuge exhibit. There is also a sculpture garden on the museum grounds as well as other rotating exhibits.
