Shawnee Hills Wine Trail

The Shawnee Hills Wine Trail is located in the first area of Illinois to be recognized for its distinctive wine making properties, the Shawnee Hills American Viticultural Area. This well marked 40-mile trail was established in 1995 and is now home to 11 Illinois wineries. The trail is embedded in the hills of the Shawnee National Forest and surrounded by specialty shops, unique eateries, art galleries, breweries, and a variety of places to stay.
