
The Rock River National Water Trail meanders 320 miles from the headwaters of the Rock River, above the Horicon National Wildlife Refuge in south central Wisconsin, to the Mississippi River, at the Quad Cities. The trail is considered nationally significant due to its great diversity, landscapes, vistas, recreation, cultural, and historical experiences, and ease of accessibility. There are 155 access sites along the trail, 50 are accessible to persons with disabilities.
