Winter along the byway brings about new adventures, so strap on your skis and hit the trails. Cross country skiing is a great way to explore the byway’s peaceful forests and prairies. Morrison-Rockwood State Park provides 14 miles of trails through snow blanketed forests. At Wapello Land & Water Reserve, glide through the restored prairie as the hills rise around you.
