Lake Carlton, a stream-fed reservoir, is the highlight of this picturesque 1,164 acre state park. It offers 92 camp sites with electricity, a 3.5 mile nature trail for hikers, a 14 mile trail for equestrians and cross country skiers, and ice fishing and ice skating when conditions permit. Anglers can catch largemouth bass, black crappie, rock bass, channel catfish, redear sunfish, bluegill, muskie, and walleye from a boat, bank, or nine piers available around the lake. Hunting is permitted for deer, dove, and squirrel during season.
