Makanda Inn & Cottages

Makanda Inn & Cottages offers a bed and breakfast and 3 cottage rental units. The eco-friendly bed & breakfast features 4 suites, with private bathrooms, and access to a small shared deck. Guests will be served a sumptuous breakfast in the morning and have access to a spacious common area with a fire place. The eco-friendly cabins feature straw walls, earthen plaster, and have living roofs. Two of the cabins feature one bedroom, a bathroom with wet-floor shower and soaking tub, kitchenette, and a walk out balcony. The West End Cottage has 2 bedrooms, each with an en suite bathroom, and features full sized kitchen. Cabin rentals do not come with breakfast. This adults only lodging is nestled in the Shawnee National Forest and is located near the Makanda Boardwalk, Giant City State Park, and only 15 minutes from Southern Illinois University.
