Lincoln Memorial Picnic Ground was the site of the third Lincoln-Douglas debate during their run for the Illinois Senate seat. A plaque has been placed in the park and is flanked by statues of Lincoln and Douglas. The site also offers picnic tables, restrooms, three paved walking loops, and a pond.
