In the late 19th century, Belleville and southwestern Illinois was a significant center for the growth of Illinois industry. The Labor and Industry Museum is dedicated to sharing that history through exhibits including agricultural equipment, the Goelitz Bros. Confectionary – now known as Jelly Belly, and 26 Belleville-made stoves and ranges.
