Great Galena Balloon Race

This three day event includes more than 20 hot air balloons, three races, and a night glow, where the balloons light up the evening. Visitors can also enjoy live music, an art show, food vendors, and activities for the whole family. This event raises funds and awareness for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and Camp Hertko Hollow, a camp for kids with diabetes. Event is cash only and is held annually the third full weekend in June.
