The Hauberg Indian Museum tells the story of the Sauk and Mesquakie people. Dioramas show daily life through the four seasons with summer and winter houses, a dugout canoe and artifacts like jewelry, trade goods, and domestic items. The museum is part of Black Hawk State Historic Site and is nestled within a 100-acre nature preserve with four miles of hiking trails.
