The A. B. Safford Memorial building was built in the Queen Anne Style and was presented to the citizens of Cairo by Eliza Safford, in memory of her husband, in 1884. It houses the Cairo Public Library’s valuable collection of American Civil War documents and museum quality antiques and paintings.
