If you want truly unique gifts that will be long remembered and cherished, then the Quad City Christmas Arts and Crafts Fair may be just what you're looking for! "Our show is 26th year old!" stated Chris Beatty, the show organizer. "People love giving and getting these sort of gifts!" The show is Friday through Sunday, November 27-29 at the QCCA Expo Center at 2621 4th Avenue in Rock Island, Illinois. The hours are Friday and Saturday, November 27 & 28, 10am-5pm and Sunday, November 29, 10am-4pm. Admission is $4.00. Kids 12 and under are FREE. There will be FREE admission for anyone bringing a new unwrapped toy to donate to the Toys For Tots program. Additional information is available at 309-647-0400. The Fair will feature nearly 60,000 square feet of arts and crafts for the holiday season. There will be over 190 exhibitors participating. Approximately 50 of them will be demonstrating their craft. Some of the arts & crafts include leather, photos, paintings, wood burning art, wooden puzzles, photography, wool spinning, handcrafted teddy bears, carved/painted gourds, old fashioned wood toys, ceramics, jewelry, dolls, doll clothes, doll furniture, stained glass, quilting, chain saw art, clothes for all ages, bird feeders, lathe art, etchings, primitives, pottery, paintings, stoneware, and more. Some of the more unique attractions include a sculptor, Will DeSelms. Will specializes in highly detailed bird carvings. Each hand carved and hand painted. His birds have sold all over the world. There's also Toni Daugherty from Monmouth, IL who does wooden puzzles depicting American home town scenes; Kara Brumzick who does blown glass collectibles; Shawna Fibikar from Davenport does wire art and Michael Beale from Rock Island who crafts hand made, hand finished leather purses.
